Our Founder, Stephanie Villegas, is a seasoned HR professional with over 15 years of experience. She is of second-generation Colombian descent and, due to personal circumstances, relocated to Colombia six years ago. There, she had the opportunity to collaborate, network, and connect with highly skilled professionals who often outshone their American counterparts. Recognizing the potential in connecting these exceptional individuals with North American companies seeking top-tier talent, the idea for Vilca Runa was born. The concept was further shaped by an understanding of the challenges, costs, and complications that North American companies encounter when hiring and retaining employees, as well as the frustrations faced by Latin American job seekers in their respective fields. Vilca Runa represents a mutually beneficial solution, where hiring companies benefit from cost savings and access to highly qualified candidates, while candidates from South America gain opportunities to work for leading organizations in their fields of expertise, often receiving compensation exceeding local market rates.
